Account Information

When you create an account on Clippit, we collect limited information to identify and reach you. Specifically: your username, name, email address, and chosen password to authenticate into our service (unless you choose to login with a social account).

Application Data

We collect information such as what clips you’ve created, what clips you’ve liked what clips you’ve commented on, what comments you’ve written, what clips you’ve re-clipped, what clips you’ve shared, and what clips you’ve marked inappropriate. We collect this information for your benefit to keep track of your use of Clippit.  You may delete any clip you made at any time and the data associated with that clip will be deleted too.


Other Services

You may link your Clippit account to other third-party services you use such as social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. If you connect your account, we collect information through the third-party services. This information is specifically related to the clips you created and posted (i.e., clips you’ve made publicly available). We collect this information for your benefit to keep track of your use of Clippit.  You may delete any clip you posted to a third party at any time and the data associated with that clip will be deleted too.


We determine your location in order to determine what TV shows to display for you.

How We Use Your Information

Improving the Service

The main purpose of collecting the above information is to improve the Clippit service so it provides more value to you and other Clippit users. Additionally, we use the information to keep Clippit running and to prevent abuse.

Employees and Contractors

We may disclose your information to our employees and contractors only for the purpose of administering, providing, and improving our service. Our employees and contractors have agreed not to disclose your information to others.

Third Parties

Clippit sometimes shares anonymized usage information with trusted third parties in order to operate and improve the Clippit system. We require those companies to observe the limitations in this privacy policy.

Complying With the Law

We may reveal information to satisfy or comply with any law, regulation, or legal process including subpoenas, litigation, or court orders.

Major Corporate Event

We may share or transfer some or all of our assets including information identified in this privacy policy in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale.

Our service may link to other websites and services. Any information you provide on those services is provided directly to the owner of that service and subject to that party’s privacy policy. Our privacy policy does not apply to such services and we’re not responsible for the content, privacy, security practices, or policies of those services.

You can stop all collection of information from our service by uninstalling the Clippit application. To request full deletion of your data, please contact us at
